It’s been a year of Pray Days for Danny.

An unbelievable year.

Of Firsts.

Of Agains.

Of Never Befores.

Of Every Days.

We’ve prayed for attitudes, a weak left arm, an uncontrollable right leg, provision for therapy expenses, evidence of progress and for those of us with him in the ringer.

We’ve been angry. We’ve been elated. We’ve been confused and we’ve been enlightened.

We’ve shared our story and taken first steps in the Community.

It’s been quite a year.

A Year of Firsts:

Grand walking entrances into choir practice, across a stage and back again, down the church aisle and into seven restaurants.

Sand between his toes and an ocean view.

An article and YouTube video for Mundo Hispanico.

Sharing our story publicly and the first time Danny has shared on his own.

First time walking through the check-out line at the cafeteria.

Leaving the wheelchair at home, on purpose.

A first dance, and a second.

Measures of Progress:

Evaluation results (January-May-November)
Timed Up & Go – 56 seconds>46 seconds>38 seconds
10 Meter Test – 33 seconds>25 seconds>19 seconds
6 Minute Test – 260 ft. >295 ft.>320 ft.

50FT. – 42 seconds >36 seconds>32 seconds>28 seconds

95FT. – 1 minute, 10 seconds>1 minute, 7 seconds>1 minute, 1 second> 57 seconds

3 basketball court laps without a seated break (750 FT.)

Distance in under an hour – 600 FT.>1200 FT.>1680 FT.

Working it out with forearm crutches.

Single (Right) leg dips.

Two-arm pull ups.

Three falls.

Three getting up agains.

Three less medications and three more to go.

38 seconds of free standing.

A great year indeed.

Don’t stop now.

Keep going. Keep praying.

See. It’s true. He is doing a new thing. God is doing a new thing.

It’s almost time for the harvest.

“Those who walk the fields to sow, casting their seed in tears, will one day tread those same long rows, amazed by what’s appeared. Those who weep as they walk and plant with sighs will return singing with joy, when they bring home the harvest.” Psalm 126:5-6 (The Voice)

Sow your seeds. Sow them with faith. Sow them in agreement with us. Sow the seeds of prayer, of giving, of encouraging and walk with us through the rows with amazement.

The harvest is coming.

It’s Pray Day for Danny.

Are you (still) In On 10?
