Taking Chances

Taking Chances

I would never want to embarrass Danny or dishonor him. Therefore, there are some things I choose not to write about. However, I am concerned and so I covet your prayers today. I don’t like being a mother to my

A Prayer Pity Party – June Pray Day for Danny

I get tired of praying. There. I said it. I know it’s been quiet here. It’s not that I didn’t have anything to share or didn’t need you. I did. I do. We do. I just haven’t had to energy

The Watchman & the Maybe

Remember that time I was going to send out our Christmas email newsletter? And, I was going to show Danny’s fan-tabulous results and talk about our 2014 goals? Yeah, so that didn’t happen. Obviously. You know what did happen? I

Pray Day for Danny-New Legs

I’ve mentioned it here before, but it bears mentioning again. Considering what’s happened. Danny’s spirit is fiercely independent. However, he is trapped inside the prison cell of his own body, his own brain. He battles internally to overcome the limitations

All about the 10s

I know I’ve been quiet here for a bit, only posting on Pray Days or when we’re asking for donations for Danny’s therapy. Sounds kind of hollow; only reaching out when we need something. I’m hoping it doesn’t diminish our

What is 80FT?

80FT is the length of the skid mark that Danny left at the accident scene. It is the distance between the life we knew and the life set before us. It represents the beginning of our journey; our journey to recover, to help others through their own battles, and to turn our tragedy into triumph. We take these 80FT and hold them captive. They will not ruin us; it does not own us. We stomp on those 80FT. with each foot Danny walks on his own two feet. One step at a time, one foot at a time, we're overcoming those 80FT. Will you join us?
