There are people and places that enter your life when life’s unexpected events unfold and you begin life on a parallel of what your hopes and dreams were supposed to look like.
The Shepherd Center shown like a lighthouse in the storm of traumatic brain injury. They are a refuge that we still run to even on the brink of a ninth anniversary since Danny’s accident.
I am always, always honored to be asked to share our story. Even in it’s darkest, I believe truth and community in tragedy can bring a glimmer of light to those who walk a similar path.
Today, I am humbled to have written a blog post for Shepherd Center about Danny as a father with brain injury, but mainly a father who loves no matter what; for that I am eternally grateful.
