For Sale!  Buy Danny's Harley-Davidson!

Danny's 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200XLC doesn't even resemble the bike we purchased in 2002.  As many of you know, Danny started Southland Choppers Inc. in 2004 and the Sporty was his best marketing tool.  Danny did the majority of the work himself and was as meticulous then as he is now.  Some improvements include: the front rake, chrome PM brake calipers, grips and foot pegs, all braided steel lines, 18" mustache bars and Paughco Upsweep pipes.  Danny also created a customized push button starter, horn and toggle headlight switch that sits just behind the battery.  The Sporty includes all chrome accessories, even all the nuts and bolts are covered in chrome.  The paint is flat black and the only big job that Danny wanted to do was change the wheels.  Danny also did some internal engine work, but those are details he'd have to add.  Otherwise, this bike is ready to ride and since it's coming up on riding season here in the southeast, it's a perfect time to purchase.  Feel good riding and knowing that your purchase has gone to support our cause.  If you have any questions, please email us via the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page.

How your donations help

Danny travels to Shepherd Center in Atlanta three days a week to participate in the Beyond Therapy Program; a revolutionary program that “focuses on promoting lifelong wellness and maximizing muscle and neural return through a program of intensive strengthening and motor-patterned activity concentrating on weaker muscles and nerve connections that may have been ignored in the initial phases of recovery.”  Through Danny’s involvement in this revolutionary program, he is truly on the brink of walking again.

Danny’s participation in the Beyond Therapy Program costs over $700 out of pocket per week.  Additionally, he still requires care-giving assistance with daily living needs which is not covered by insurance.

To assist with this immense financial burden, a fund-raising campaign has been established in Danny’s honor through the Catastrophic Injury Program of the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF). NTAF provides the donor both tax-deductibility and fiscal accounting to contributors.
